The Winter Garden was badly damaged in the 9/11 attacks. All that glass couldn't hold against the debris raining down on it. It was mainly full of shopping opportunities and not a priority in the cleanup. All the palm trees died more from exposure than anything. But it's back (and has been for years.) In some ways it looks just the same.
