Fall Flowers

This didn't look like fall to me but they were pretty on the weekend.

It's the day before Thanksgiving and the Christmas trees were out for sale yesterday. Usually that is a tradition for the day after Thanksgiving.

After the Friday night dinner with most of the craft group. (Someone didn't quite run in to the timer photo in time!) The camera strap was wrapped around a stairwell post. We entertained quite a few passersby as we took a few photos.

This planter used to be part of a fountain. The water came from the lion's head. Now plants grow in it...sometimes they are more decorative.

Autumn Library

This is a little autumn from NYC. The tower is part of the Jefferson Market Library. (I usually take the photos of it from the tower side.) The nice garden behind it is only open limited hours.

There is always some kind of emergency...big or small.

Fire

The red building was the site of a fire at 3:30am one morning. The building was empty for reconstruction when flames were seen out the upper floor windows. It became a 5 alarm fire and fire trucks were all over the place when I left for work. People were evacuated from the neighboring buildings but in the end no one was hurt. The street remains closed to traffic even after the building was determined to be structurally safe.

Something Rotten

I saw this show on Halloween. From what I'd read about it I thought it was not my kind of show but it was enjoyable. It was a lighthearted romp through history! Lots of inside jokes for regular theatre goers which would not ruin the performance for newbies.
