This is the survivor tree at the 9/11 Museum. It was found at Ground Zero with broken and burned branches and damaged roots...but it was alive! The Parks and Recreation team carefully dug it up and replanted it at a safe site. Over the years with special care, the tree got stronger and grew and was finally brought back to Ground Zero in 2010.
